Participating in November 20th Conference, Iraq
Our finding-
We found there is no organization helping on regular basis. All those big humanitarian organization is not heard of at Yezidis camps. Some of the camps have labels such as UNHCR or Turkish flag. It’s very misleading because it doesn’t mean they are there helping. In many cases those tents were purchased from them.
Ever since our meeting with Sri Sri in Chicago, the people on Mount Sinjar have been receiving aid. More than 80 tons of aid so far.
During the peace conference in Iraq we asked Sri Sri if his organization IAHV would extent the help to Yezidis living in camps. We promised to help raise funds in USA.
During the meeting at Lalish, we introduced the Humanity team to Sri Sri. We asked Sri Sri if we can have the Humanity group along with 3 other Yezidis work with IAHV to distribute humanitarian aid. Sri Sri agreed to it
Now, if anyone asks about donating make sure the donation goes to IAHV. They are on the ground helping and we people who will ensure that the aid goes to the people in need.
